Skip Henderson has served as Post 10 City Councilman for nearly two decades, but he’s always called Columbus, GA and the Chattahoochee Valley his home. He graduated from Columbus High School and attended Columbus College; gained invaluable experience working for his father’s real estate business before ascending to Team Leader at Keller-Williams Realty, River City; and put down roots and raised a family here with his wife of 33 years, Karon.

A proven leader, Skip served six years as chair of the budget committee during his tenure as councilman, as well as serving as the chair of vital community organizations such as the Better Business Bureau, March of Dimes, and Kiwanis Club. Skip and his wife, Karon, serve together on the Leadership Council for the American Cancer Society.

Skip’s commitment to bettering the city of Columbus is unwavering; and moving forward, he hopes to continue using his experience, perseverance, and passion to serve our community full-time as mayor.
